GuildOne Story

Over the past two decades, GuildOne has established itself as a pioneering technology company providing advanced data solutions and business intelligence to oil and gas companies seeking to boost business performance. This includes applying proprietary solutions to identify outstanding royalty opportunities and generate revenue completeness.

Since 2015, GuildOne has invested in the research and development of emerging technologies such as blockchain, smart contracts, machine learning and artificial intelligence. This culminated in the 2018 unveiling of Energy Block Exchange (EBX), the first blockchain business network to transact an energy smart contract.

Our History

The story of GuildOne is one of continual evolution. The company was formed in the dot-com boom by James Graham and Barry Kreiser—two early adopters and technology explorers—in Calgary, Alberta, the centre of Canada’s energy industry.

Early successes in enterprise data integration in the telecom sector led to the pair being approached by an energy company to solve a vexing data problem: every department was using varying data sets derived from different data systems, resulting in inconsistent inventory numbers and lost revenues. James and Barry saw an opportunity. GuildOne would provide enterprise-wide data integration and optimization, helping companies manage and understand their complex data for business optimization and revenue completeness.

Since that time, GuildOne has worked with oil and gas companies to solve complex data issues to boost business performance, often researching and developing innovative technology solutions to help clients adapt to continual economic and technological change. In the mid-2000s, this led to helping clients manage complex oil and gas royalty payments, which is a key part of the company’s offering to this day.

Over the past few years, GuildOne has made significant advances in the development and implementation of innovative blockchain-based solutions that have the potential to transform revenue streams and business models in the energy sector and beyond. The company has applied for a patent for its system and method for executing transactions on blockchain networks.
